Breakfast Time at Woodmont Deli
To start your walk around the block, head down Battery Lane and take a left turn onto Woodmont Street and you’re already at Woodmont Deli! Locals love this small but friendly deli for their warm cranberry muffins, bagels, pancakes, and breakfast plates. It’s the perfect place to pop in for a cup of coffee and something to eat in the morning.
Get Stylish at The Shop Salon
Once you’ve fueled up with breakfast, head next door to The Shop Salon, our favorite local hair salon. The Shop Salon is not only filled with fantastic hairdressers that will work wonders with your hair, but it will also leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. They cater equally well to both men and women, so everyone can enjoy this stylish local salon.
Get in Touch with Your Geeky Side at Big Planet Comics
Now that you’re looking stylish, it’s time to get in touch with your geeky side by heading down to Big Planet Comics. Just keep going south down Woodmont Street and turn right onto Cordell Ave. to reach the Bethesda location of this local comic book chain. Enjoy the Abundance of Lunch Options
After you’ve emerged from Big Planet Comics, you’re surrounded by great lunch options. Smoke BBQ, South Street Steaks, and Brickside Food & Drink are all great restaurants right on Cordell Ave. You can’t go wrong at Bacchus of Lebanon or Smashburger right around the corner on Norfolk Ave. either.
Say Namaste at Balance Pilates and Yoga Studio
After stopping for lunch, head back up Cordell Ave., turn left onto Wisconsin Ave., and make another right onto Rosedale Ave. to reach Balance Pilates and Yoga Studio. With knowledgeable instructors that really know their stuff, this is our favorite place to get active outside of our own Flats 8300 fitness center. They offer various yoga and pilates classes for all levels, so check their class schedule to see what fits best for you.
Finish Your Grocery Shopping at Harris Teeter
After working up a little sweat, it’s time to walk the entire 217 feet back down Rosedale Ave. until you hit Flats 8300 and the in-building Harris Teeter grocery store. It couldn’t be any more convenient to do your grocery shopping since all you need to do is carry your purchases upstairs to your gourmet Flats 8300 kitchen when you’re done. Voila!
