On December 10th, from 6pm-8pm, Flats 8300 will be partnering with OnTap Magazine to host Fund A Flight Happy Hour to benefit Luke’s Wings at Brickside Food & Drink.
Luke’s Wings is a charity that helps to give wounded warriors, veterans, and other heroes the ability to reunite with their families when they need them the most. Assisting these warriors to get quality face to face time with their loved ones helps increase their motivation for a speedy recovery, while giving them a relaxing and loving environment in which to recuperate.
Donations from Fund A Flight will go toward William Thomas, US Army Specialist. William was injured while in Helmand Province, Afghanistan when his vehicle was hit by an IED. His vehicle flipped and he was unconscious for two hours. As a result, he has lost a leg and suffered numerous complications. He is currently receiving medical care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. We are working to fund a flight for his wife and family to come see him for the holidays.
