It’s that time of year again. Even with a grocery store footsteps from your home, it’s nice to break up your routine, support local farmers and get some of the freshest products around town.

That’s right, people, this isn’t a drill. The Farm Women’s Market and Dawson’s Farmer’s Market are back as of May 4, and it’s time to get shopping.

The Farm Women’s Market is a unique, intimate, quirky and festive shopping experience in Downtown Bethesda.  The Market features great food, drink and music with artisans, crafts and boutique businesses from around the Mid-Atlantic region. Local vineyards and breweries provide tastings and food trucks offer a quick meal. It’s located only a ten minute walk south on Wisconsin Ave from the Bethesda Metro Station at the intersection of Bethesda Ave. and Wisconsin Ave.

Open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 7:30am-4:30pm.

Dawson’s Farmer’s Market is stocked with fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, crafts, beer and wine tastings, and great BBQ. Some of the 2016 vendors include Scenic View Orchards, Canela Bakery, Chocolates & Tomatoes Farm, Friends of the Library, VisArts, Holy Crepes and Southern Cross Bakery. Beginning June 8th there will be live music at the market.

The market is located in the parking lot of Dawson’s Market at 225 N. Washington Street in Rockville, Maryland and will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. each Wednesday.
